Abstract

Nusantara Battle” is a web-based 2D game with local multiplayer mode that adapts traditional Indonesian games into competitive mini-games. This research aims to design and develop a digital game that can be a medium of entertainment as well as a means of introducing and preserving the culture of traditional Indonesian games to the younger generation. The game was developed using Unity 2D with the C# programming language and implemented several game mechanisms such as Power Bar Mechanic, Rhythm Mechanic, Precision Timing Mechanic, and Curve Power Bar Mechanic. This game also provides custom key binding features and difficulty levels consisting of Easy, Medium, and Hard. The research methods used include game design, gameplay implementation, interface design, and alpha testing to evaluate system functions and playing experience. The results of the study show that “Nusantara Battle” was successfully developed with various traditional mini-games such as Panjat Pinang (Climbing the Pinang Tree), Sack Race, Tug of War, Stilts, Clogs, Eating Crackers, Nail Bottles, Sandal Throwing, Marbles, and Jumping Rope. This game successfully presents competitive gameplay that emphasizes precise timing, coordination, and interaction between players, while also serving as a digital medium for cultural recognition and preservation.
