Abstract

This study is motivated by the high level of turnover intention among Generation Z employees in Karawang, which is influenced by several factors, particularly work-life balance and work environment. The objective of this research is to analyze the extent to which work-life balance and work environment affect turnover intention among Gen Z employees. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 95 respondents from Generation Z working in Karawang. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression along with hypothesis testing through t-test and F-test. The findings reveal that both work-life balance and work environment have a significant effect on turnover intention, either partially or simultaneously. These results indicate that the better the balance between work and personal life and the higher the quality of the work environment, the lower the employees’ intention to leave their jobs. The implication of this study highlights the importance for organizations to foster a supportive and positive work environment while maintaining employees’ work-life balance in order to increase Gen Z employee retention and ensure organizational productivity sustainability.
