Abstract

The redesign of the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of the Kiriman Express (RPX Superapp) application was conducted in response to several usability problems identified in the existing system, including navigation difficulties, inefficient data entry processes, and unclear user flow that reduced overall user satisfaction. This study aims to develop a more intuitive and user-oriented interface design by applying the User-Centered Design (UCD) method, which emphasizes active user involvement throughout the development stages. The research process consisted of identifying the context of use, defining user and organizational requirements, designing alternative solutions, and evaluating the design based on user needs. Data were collected through literature review, direct observation, user interviews, usability testing using performance measurement, the Retrospective Think Aloud method, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in system usability after the redesign process. The initial SUS score of 66.05, categorized as fair, increased to 84.5 after the implementation of the proposed design, categorized as good. This improvement reflects enhanced effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction in interacting with the application. The findings of this study provide practical design recommendations that align more closely with user expectations and contribute to improving the quality of digital-based logistics services.
