Business Process Reengineering Pengolahan Silabus di Sekolah Anak Tangguh Al-Ghuroba'

Abstract

The syllabus management process in homeschooling is still conducted manually, resulting in various problems such as difficulties in document archiving, suboptimal coordination between teachers and principals, and the absence of an integrated revision tracking system. This study aims to implement Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in the syllabus management process trough the development of a web-based system. Requirements analysis and problem identification were conducted using the PIECES framework, which covers the aspects of Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes rapid development through active user involvement. The research stages included the analysis of existing business processes, business process redesign, system development, and system testing. The results indicate that the developed system improves the efficiency of syllabus management, facilitates centralized document management, accelerates coordination between teachers and principals, and supports more effective syllabus monitoring and control. Therefore, the proposed system can serve as a solution to enhance the quality of syllabus management in homeschooling and has the potential to be implemented in similar educational institutions.
