Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of compensation systems and work motivation in improving employee performance, particularly in the highly dynamic event organizer industry. The urgency of the research lies in the need for a deep understanding of employees’ perceptions of compensation, motivation, and how both influence performance. The study aims to examine how compensation systems and work motivation affect the performance of employees at PT. SE7ENNCO EVENT ORGANIZER, as well as to address issues of compensation fairness, motivational drivers, and performance indicators. This qualitative phenomenological study collected data through interviews and analyzed it descriptively. The findings indicate that compensation is generally considered fair but still requires improvement, especially regarding incentives and allowances. Motivation is influenced by the work environment, supervisor support, learning opportunities, and satisfaction from successful events. Employee performance is assessed as good, with key indicators including client satisfaction, smooth event execution, and target achievement.The study concludes that appropriate compensation and strong work motivation significantly contribute to enhancing employee performance. The implications suggest that the company should strengthen performance-based compensation systems and pay greater attention to employee well-being.
