Abstract

This study aims to classify regencies/cities in Lampung Province based on internet utilization using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. The increasing use of the internet in various regions has created the need for regional grouping to identify the characteristics of internet utilization in each area. The data used in this study were secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in 2022 with four variables, namely internet usage for social media, information access, learning media, and work activities. Data processing was carried out using RapidMiner software with three clusters. The results showed that the regencies/cities in Lampung Province were divided into three clusters with different characteristics of internet utilization. The first cluster indicated a high level of internet utilization, the second cluster represented a moderate level, while the third cluster showed internet utilization that was relatively uneven. The clustering results are expected to support evaluation and development efforts related to internet utilization in Lampung Province.
