Abstract

Strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in vocational high schools (SMK) is an important strategy in preparing graduates who are not only ready to work, but also have the competence to become entrepreneurs. This article aims to analyze the role of Teaching Factory (TEFA) and real business practices as strategies for strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in SMK based on a literature review. The method used is library research through a review of various national and international literature sources related to the concept of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the implementation of Teaching Factory, and real business practices in the SMK environment. The results of the study show that the synergy between TEFA and real business practices comprehensively strengthens the entrepreneurial ecosystem in SMK. TEFA acts as a foundation that fosters technical skills and production competencies in accordance with industry standards, while also increasing student motivation and a productive culture. Meanwhile, real business practices complement this by developing managerial competencies, entrepreneurial character, and mental readiness through real business experiences, which include risk management, marketing, and financial management. Thus, the integration of these two approaches creates a sustainable entrepreneurial environment in schools, ensuring that vocational school graduates are not only technically competent but also ready to become entrepreneurs and job creators.
