Abstract

Digital transformation in public services encourages the implementation of the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application as an innovation in population data management. This study aims to analyze the performance of the IKD information system at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Samarinda City using the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) method. The research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 103 respondents. The analyzed variables include ease of use, system reliability, information quality, security, and user satisfaction measured using a Likert scale of 1–5. The results show an overall KPI score of 3.96, categorized as good. User satisfaction obtained the highest score of 4.03, while system reliability had the lowest score of 3.89. These findings indicate that the IKD application performs well but requires improvements in technical system aspects. The study concludes that KPI is an effective method for evaluating information system performance and can serve as a basis for improving digital public services.
